Amethyst scepters (superb Colorado)

A superb and rare spray of amethyst scepters perched on unusual, totally different looking quartz crystals from the famous Idarado Mine of the San Juans. One of the scepters is even curved! Sections of the quartz crystals have striking stepped-growth. A fabulous Colorado miniature with only two broken points at the base on the back side. Amethyst is rare from this well-known mine. A MUST for the locality or species collector. Note, however, that I have not seen another like this and cannot personally validate the specimen, though it comes from a longtime dealer who formerly resided in Colorado.
