Item Description

Striking and expressive pair of parallel-growth amethyst scepters crowns the large quartz crystal stalk on this aesthetic, outstanding 360-degree example from this classic, but extinct South Korea locality, well-known for sceptered amethyst specimens. The wonderful and sculptural, sharp, translucent scepters have pretty variable blush-purple color, remarkable skeletal and stepped-growth features and satin luster faces. Both scepters are doubly terminated. The large capping scepter is 6.3 cm tall and and its stepped-growth companion is 5.8 cm tall. The back lit photo highlights the variable purple hues in the scepters. Nearly pristine, with only trivial, out-of-sight termination edge wear to the back of the large scepter. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. Valued at $2000. These classic antiques are rarely on the market today, only coming out of collections assembled pre-1960s!
