Item Description

Denny Mountain amethyst/quartz combinations are a highly desirable US classic and are very difficult to obtain. At least 10 people have lost their lives collecting there. This very fine example features three beautiful amethyst scepters, two being reverse scepters, nestled in the sculptural quartz crystal cluster. The striking large scepter, at 6.5 cm long, is doubly terminated, has numerous hair-like hematite inclusions and fascinating form, adding much pizzazz. The two pretty reverse scepters have classic form. The three scepters are essentially pristine, with only the most trivial barely noticeable tip bruising to two of the sceptiers. The noted periphery wear is certainly acceptable in the context of the overall quality and difficulty of collecting these pieces. Specimens with both scepter styles are uncommon and are much sought-after. Valued at $1500-1750. Ex Charles Noll Collection # 10400, a well-known Wisconsin collector who passed away in 2014.
