Item Description

Las Vigas has produced some of the finest amethyst specimens around and this is an exceptional and sculptural large example. The dramatic cluster of variably-sized, tapered crystals looks like a colorful double X. In fact, several of the crystals are doubly terminated scepters, including the largest, at 8.5 cm. The lustrous, light blush-purple crystals have translucent bodies with gemmier terminations, some being water-clear. Most of the crystal faces have nifty stepped-growth. All of the major crystals are pristine. This amazingly elegant and artistic piece is from the Jason New Collection, a prominent Mexico miner and collector. Valued at $1750-2000 and worth it. You just dont see large Las Vigas pieces of this form and quality.
