Item Description

Enchanting Zimbabwe Amethyst scepter with a minor combination of Smoky Quartz. This single crystal has a superb richly saturated grape coloration with a good transparency. The initial stalk can be viewed in the center of the prismatic faces of the scepter with the termination having zoning features of a vivid purple "fire" coloration on the edges and linear purple phantoms under the termination when top and/or backlit. The basal edges of the double terminated scepter have a darker Smoky Quartz color to them before transitioning to the more dominate Amethyst Quartz. There are a few natural growth interference features on several faces and a slight nick on the termination. Closer inspection shows a multitude of red Hematite flecks included in the head of the scepter.
