Item Description

Stout, impressive and pristine, 360-degree, 8.4 cm, doubly terminated amethyst scepter attached to a short 2.8 cm smoky quartz crystal stalk. The robust scepter is transparent to translucent with pretty variable blush-purple color and satin luster faces. Scattered areas of smoky color within the scepter are an outstanding complement. Ex Tim Sherburn Collection and self-collected by him on the California side of Peterson Mountain in August, 1993. See the excellent recent 2022 Mineralogical Record Nevada side of Peterson Mountain article in Vol. 53, No. 2. Every turn presents a different perspective to this excellent amethyst scepter. Valued by Tim at $640.
