Item Description

A gemmy and lustrous, pretty purple amethsyt scepter is aesthetically attached to a milkly quartz stalk. Of the many East coast Amethyst localities, specimens from this deposit are much sought-after by collectors as very few scepter crystals were found at this location. The scepter has trivial, barely noticeable side wear on one spot and contacting, with virtually no damage, per se. First discovered in 1981 and worked for approximately 10 years, this deposit yielded between 500 to 600 single scepter crystals and 35 crystal groups according to Volume 26, No. 2 of the Mineralogical Record (1995).
