Item Description

A wonderful piece of the classic Amethyst scepters from the famous discovery at Hopkinton in the mid to late 1990s. These are some of the most sought after specimens from the northeastern US, and they are no longer being found. Most specimens mined were singles like this piece, and groups or matrix specimens are exceedingly rare. This piece features a very well-formed, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, purple Amethyst scepter habit crystal sitting on a nearly opaque white Quartz "stem". Good quality, save some minor damage, but it's the fact that these pieces are seldom seen on the market now that makes its so desirable.
