Amethyst scepter

Item Description

A beautiful Amethyst scepter from Mogok featuring sharp, rather lustrous faces with a rich purple hue on the upper portion and a light silvery-grey color on the "stem". The top part of the scepter is actually color zoned with a few patches of purple color on the edges and a nearly colorless interior. The luster is what really stands out here, and most of the Amethyst scepters I've seen from Myanmar have more of a matte luster. I can see a few tiny dings, but nothing major or super distracting. A great toenail sized example of these hard to find scepter crystals. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
