Vivid shades of intense royal-purple fill the interior of this striking, transparent to translucent amethyst crystal from the much less well-known Four Peaks Amethyst Mine of Maricopa County, Arizona and the Richard Hauck Collection. The termination is complete all-around and razor-sharp and the front and sides of the crystal are well-crystallized. The color-zoning on the termination, especially on one end, is amazing. The back is contacted, but is out of sight and the trivial termination edgewear is a very modest detraction. The UNRETOUCHED backlit photo highlights the gorgeous color saturations and translucency. Very uncommon in this quality. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
