Amethyst (reverse scepters) with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

Item Description

This specimen is an attractive miniature piece consisting of a few good quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous prismatic, lavender "reverse" scepters and simple prisms of Amethyst measuring up to 2.0 cm associated with white/colorless modified rhombohedra of Calcite on matrix. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia if for no other reason than the fact that Calcite is virtually unheard of from any locality in the entire county, and this locality at Bombori has certainly produced the best crystallized Calcites from Bolivia extant. A fine little matrix piece and very attractive compared to most from Bombori.
