Item Description
This specimen is a nice small cabinet size piece consisting of good quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, lavender "reverse" scepter and simple prisms of Amethyst measuring up to 1.6 cm associated with white, modified scalenohedra of Calcite sitting on matrix. Amethyst is not commonly found in the western part of Bolivia, but a common species like CALCITE is unusually rare from Bolivia. The Calcite crystals on this specimen are incredibly good for this country. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of for this country. A good piece for the quality and rarely seen crystal habit.
