Amethyst (reverse scepters)

Item Description

This specimen is a great toenail size piece consisting of super quality, sharp, gemmy, highly lustrous, prismatic, purple "reverse" scepter crystals of Amethyst measuring up to 1.5 cm sitting atop white/colorless, gemmy, lustrous, slightly modified scalenohedra of Calcite with minor matrix. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of from this country. For quality, aesthetics and overall appeal, this is one of the better pieces in this size range that I have offered in the auctions from this locality.
