Scintillating, gemmy, pretty lavender quartz points totally cover the massive quartz matrix on this showy large specimen from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Amethsyt is rare from Dickinson County and is extremely rare from this obscure quarry. Collected by well-known Michigan curator, author and collector, George Robinson in 2000, according to Robert's label. The interior is pristine and the bit of noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this important locality piece. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
