Item Description

A very rarely seen specimen of crystallized Amethyst from the Stanley Butte area in the Santa Teresa Mountains of Arizona. I've only had a few of these to offer over the years, and this piece is certainly one of the best examples of this desirable material. This aesthetic small cabinet features a trio of sharp, well-formed, gemmy prismatic hexagonal crystals free of matrix. The color ranges from a beautiful purple hue (concentrated at the tips and the exterior edges) to a soft smoky hue (virtually colorless). All three crystals are rather gemmy when backlit, and the two smaller crystals are actually doubly-terminated to boot! If you collect worldwide Quartz specimens or minerals of Arizona, do not miss out on this one, as there are very few of them out there.
