A VERY RARE and exceptional large complete amethyst and quartz crystal vug in basalt matrix from the Tafelkop. An impressive, 5.8 cm, sharply terminated gem crystal with beautiful zones of blush-purple color dominates this striking piece. Super accessories are: the 2.5 cm stout amethyst of similar color and form; two large gem quartz points, 3.5 cm (doubly terminated and colorless) and 3.0 cm with light amethyst color; and the total lining of the vug with smaller quartz points and drusy quartz. This superb and rare large specimen has been expertly from the hard basalt matrix. From the Namibia Collection of Shields and Frances Flynn.
