A stunning amethyst and quartz specimen from the Robert Hauck Quartz Collection. A curving wreath or trailing headdress of pretty purple amethyst points dramatically caps and trails down the side of a glassy, translucent, sharply terminated quartz crystal with preferential stepped-growth faces. One side of the piece is partially contacted, with no damage, per se and bruised. This is a rare and strikingly showy combination quartz specimen from this uncommon Brazilian locale.
