Amethyst and pyrite specimens are extremely rare from Bisbee and this showy and excellent piece is doubly rare, with both species on the same piece! Sparkly, gemmy, lavender amethyst points cover the undulating matrix of bright brassy microcrystalline pyrite with quartz. A bit of scattered bruising is noted, but is certainly acceptable in the context of this very rare combination from this famed Arizona locale. Ex Dennis Mullane Bisbee Colletion.
