Item Description

A surreal, fantastically sculptural, large two-sided combination pseudomorph from an uncommon Rio Grande do Sul locality and the Matioli Collection. The two, impressive, large, rabbit ears-shaped, calcite scalenohedrons have been pseudomorphed by chalcedony, which is what the layered matrix plate is composed of. Sparkly, grayish, light lavender amethyst crystals are dramatically festooned on this side and add amazing pizzazz. The bottom is TOTALLY DIFFERENT! A mound of highly etched quartz is beautifully highlighted by a nifty cluster of terminated light purple amethyst crystals. This is certainly a unique-looking and rare combination pseudomorph. Pristine. A MUST for the locality, species or pseudomorph collector. Valued $1000-1500 for novelty. It is really cute in person!
