Amethyst (LARGE gem)

This stone comes to us from the renowned Anahi Mine in the eastern Bolivian jungle. This a very attractive natural large Amethyst gem with a beautiful "Checkerboard Cushion Brilliant" cut. This stone has a fine light purple color and is virtually eye clean! I have not seen many Amethyst gems from the Anahi Mine, as most of what you'll see on the market is the famous "Ametrine" (natural purple and yellow bi-colored Quartz), but if you look VERY closely as this stone, there is a TINY bit of a yellow hue in one area, so I guess technically you can call this an "Ametrine", but for all intents and purposes, it's Amethyst. Everybody is familiar with Amethyst, but rarely does one have the opportunity to get their hands on a clean, well-cut stone weighing over 100 carats(!) like this. Do not miss out on this LARGE gem from this famous locality in Bolivia. Legitimately, this is stone retails for $4,126.40 ($40 per carat high retail), and you will be hard pressed to find another like it from this locality.
