Goethite needles are dramatically and richly included in this gemmy bi-colored amethyst crystal miniature from early 2000s finds at this obscure Afghanistan locale. The needles explode from the core of the crystal and are beautifully complemented by the rich grape-purple veils. Complete all-around, the strikingly skewed termination adds pizzazz. The crystal has both glass-clear and satin lustre faces adding even more character. Essentially pristine, with only a trivial termination wilber. Ex R.D. Mushlitz Collection. An exceptionally fine single amethyst crystal included with goethite from the locale.
