Amethyst (''Honeycomb'' cut)

Brazil for many decades has been the leading producer of excellent gem-grade Amethyst. I've seen every gradiation of purple exhibited in Brazilian Amethyst, from the lightest "Rose de France" hue to deepest Siberian shade. This stone falls somewhere in the middle what what is a medium purple color, but the most interesting aspect is that it features a unique "Honeycomb" cut, with small hexagonal indentations / carvings on the table, and concave faceting on the pavillion, to create a special and unique gem. The stone is eye-clean in clarity. A fantastic gem with a special style of cutting that would make a great center stone for a pendant or a ring, and Amethyst is the birthstone for February, so this would be a great candidate for a birthday gift to someone born in that month.
