Amethyst (good quality) with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

This specimen is an attractive bigger cabinet sized piece consisting of several good quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, lavender prisms of Amethyst measuring up to 2.0 cm associated with white/colorless modified rhombohedra of Calcite sitting on matrix. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as Calcite is virtually unheard of from any locality in this country, and Bombori has certainly produced the best Calcites from Bolivia extant. A superb matrix piece and very attractive compared to most from Bombori. Valued at $900 retail.
