Item Description
A very attractive Amethyst scepter from Jefferson County, Montana. The piece is in great shape overall and is WATER CLEAR, which is not common for the material in my experience. When backlit the piece shows tiny red flecks of iron oxide (Hematite or possibly Lepidocrocite) insdie to creat a beautiful mix of color. The piece has smooth, lustrous faces and excellent form. Somewhat reminiscent of the famous Quartz specimens from Hallelujah Junction. A tiny nick on the tip keeps it from being 100% damage free, but still a nice thumbnail specimen of this somewhat hard to find material. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown.
