Amethyst "Flower"

A complete, radial "flower" of very soft lilac Amethyst to colorless / white Quartz from Brazil. This beautiful and unique formation was actually lifted cleanly from the matrix, leaving only a tiny point of attachment on the back. Small inclusions of green copper oxide and reddish-brown iron oxide can be seen inside the piece as well. There are hundreds of tightly intergrown crystals here, with delicate transitions of light purple to colorless. The luster really stands out, and most of the crystals are actually very well-formed with fine terminations upon close inspection. These are some of the most eye-catching and iconic Amethyst specimens in the world, and every good Quartz collection needs one, no to mention every Brazilian suite or just general worldwide minerals.
