This stone is a beautiful and one-of-a-kind faceted Amethyst from Brazil, featuring "Fantasy" cutting, where the underside/pavilion/culet area of the gem has actually been carved to create the beautiful geometric patterns which are best seen when the stone is viewed through the table. The imagge created in this stone is a beautiful floral/plant-like motif. The stone has a lovely purple hue with nearly colorless zoning, almost what you would call "Amethystine". A really special and eye-catching gem that would make a great center stone for a pendant or ring.
