Item Description

The famous quartz crystals from Denny Mountain, Washington are highly desirable, difficult to obtain and very dangerous to collect. Several people have lost their lives collecting there, over the years. This is a striking and beautiful, CABINET cluster of amethyst crystals. The very glassy, transparent to translucent crystals range from a very pretty variable purple blush to colorless. The large crystal on the back is 5.0 cm. This is actually a complete all-around and nearly pristine FLOATER specimen! The larger crystals have very trivial termination wear and part of the back is contacted, but has essentially no damage, per se. This is a supremely desirable, large and VERY RARE Denny Mountain amethyt specimen. Ex Karl Faddis (a Seattle-area native collector) Collections. Valued at $1500-2000.
