This is a classic style of Guerrero amethyst, with colorless gem tips grown over grape-juice colored cores. The contrast is striking, unusual, and nearly unique to this location in terms of drama (it happens at Brandberg, too). This particular piece is a glorious V-shaped spray. The effect is striking in person and looks fabulous from either side. This aesthetic piece is pristine, except for trivial periphery wear at the base on one side. Virtually no impact on the excellent quality. Material like this hasn"t been dug up in decades, and is hard to find today on the market. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
