Amethyst (DT)

Attractive, deep-purple Amethyst that is multi-dimensional and able to be displayed in several orientations. The Amethyst is unusually deep and rich, and the largest crystal (8.2 cm) is doubly-terminated. One of the most fascinating things about mineralogy to me is the fact that different faces, and repeating faces, can grow and present themselves differently, and this is no exception. On one side of the specimen, the luster on the Amethysts ranges from very good to slightly silky, while on the reverse side the luster is mirror-like and superb. Any way you look at it, literally, it is a fine specimen with lots of upside in viewing angles and color.
