Item Description
This specimen is a great small cabinet size piece consisting of a decent quality, 1.9 cm, sharp, gemmy, prismatic, lavender, doubly-terminated "reverse" scepter crystals and simple prisms of Amethyst sitting atop grey modified rhombohedra of Calcite on with a very thin layer of underlain "Chlorite" on matrix. The main crystal actually has THREE distinct termintaions on one end - very unusual!! This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of for this country. This is one of the better pieces from the find for quality, aesthetics and overall appeal. It should be noted that Calcite is actually a rare species in Bolivia, and certainly the best crystals of the well known carbonate are found at Bombori
