Amethyst (doubly-terminated crystals) with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

Item Description

This specimen is a great small cabinet size display piece consisting of fine quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, purple color crystals of Amethyst (some of which are doubly-terminated - very rare for this locale) measuring up to 2.2 cm long. The Amethysts are associated with modified rhombohedra of Calcite with underlian "Chlorite" on matrix. Please note that Calcite is a rather rare species from Bolivia, and the Calcite crystals from Bombori are the best examples of Bolivian Calcite crystals that we've seen from the entire country. A good specimen of this now hard to find material.
