The famous Four Peaks Amethyst gemstones are beloved for their beautiful color, which often resembles the old classic Siberian Amethyst stones that date back over 100 years ago. The gems from Arizona have a wonderfully saturated purple hue, and can sometimes shows the highly desirable and seldom seen red flash! Most Amethyst you'll see on the market is typically from Brazil, and while that material is perfectly good quality, it doesn't have the same allure that the Four Peaks material carries. Gem collectors will tell you that good stones with red flash are arguably the most valuable Amethyst gems out there. Here we have a beauitufl "Pear Brilliant" cut gem with nearly eye clean clarity and a deep purple hue. This classic locality hasn't produced much in recent years, so if you collect gemstones from the United States, don't pass this one up.
