A surreal polished slice of amethyst casted after calcite from Artigas, Uruguay. The lustrous amethyst is a transparent pretty blush-purple and is pristine all-around. The replacement water-clear quartz in the interior dramatically highlights the sharp, pseudohexagonal form of the dissolved calcite crystal. Ex Ken Roberts Pseudomorph Collection.
