Brazilian Amethyst is some of the most well known and attractive Amethyst on the planet. This beautiful briolette bead has a beautiful saturated purple color with superb clarity. Briolettes are the kind of stones that I think make a great novelty for a collector, or would certainly make a very attractive piece of jewelry for somebody with a February birthday as Amethyst is the birthstone for that month. Please note that there is a drill hole at the top of the stone - which is typical for briolettes - where you could attach the stone on a thin chain or a bail.
