Item Description
The Little Giant Basin in San Juan County has produced some very attractive Quartz specimens, including fine skeletal and scepter Amethyst specimens. This piece is an excellent, very gemmy, sharp, lustrous, purple and smoky color, scepter crystal that is nearly complete on all sides. The piece is pretty good shape overall, save one small spot on the back, and naturally on the bottom where it detached from the pocket. This particular piece was collected by noted San Juan collector, Robert Stouffer in September of 1996, and is a great example of the type of specimens that can be found in the Little Giant Basin.
