Item Description

RARE AMETHYST FOR NAICA! This is from the 1970s or early 1980s. A striking, very aesthetic and uncommon CABINET combination specimen from Naica and the Dick Heck Collection. Very pretty blush purple amethyst points to 3.3 cm of different sizes are richly and attractively scattered on the quartz crystal-covered sphalerite matrix. A 1.9 cm pseudomorph of sparkly, brassy, pyrite microcrystals after a flat pyrrhotite crystal plate is a cute accent. Fine amethyst specimens, such as this, are not that common from the famous mines at Naica. In great shape, overall, the couple of broken amethyst points are barely noticeable. Valued at $300-500 for fine quality and combination rarity.
