A choice, very attractive Amethyst scepter with excellent luster and a complex, stepped growth. The color on the Amethyst is an attractive variegated lavender-to deep purple, and the glassy luster and sharp edges make the complex termination really stand out visually. There is only the slightest amount of edgwear. The overall crystal is 9 cm long, with over 4 cm of quality Amethyst termination! The stepped faces, which look like the battlements of a castle, is quite aesthetic. UNUSUAL for the locality, amethyst is common at other Namibian locales but not from the Oranje River
