This specimen is part of the 2021 Dallas Mineral Collecting Symposium benefit auction, with proceeds benefiting Mineralogical Record, Rocks & Minerals, Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and mindat.org. Thanks to all of our participants!

This one-stop perfectly color-matched set for gorgeous, high-quality amethysts was made up in Idar-Oberstein at the famous Paul Wild company, for a matching set of necklace with drop options, bracelet(s), earrings, and pendant, with a ring stone thrown in for good measure. A parure is a set of various items of matching jewelry, which rose to popularity in early 19th-century Europe (Wikipedia) and are rising again in popularity today.
