An incredibly striking Amethyst specimen, featuring four distinct rounded knobs, covered all around with these sparkling, razor sharp little medium purple color crystals. The matrix was carefully trimmed out to form a perfect natural base for the Amethyst "cactus". Actually you can see the exposed bands of underlying Agate / Chalcedony upon which the Amethyst grew. A wonderful large cabinet display specimen, and not just a decorative rock. This is a good quality crystallized Amethyst for Uruguay, classic material for the locality, and certainly worth picking up if you like big display pieces. Valued at $1,200.
