Item Description

There are only a few places in the world that produce Amethyst this color. One of them is Siberia, and most of that material has long been mined out. Zambia produces very rich Amethyst gems, but the production has almost dwindled to nothing in recent years. But the Artigas area in Uruguay still produces AMAZING color Amethyst stones to this day. This material has some of the most intense "grape jelly" purple color you'll ever see in Amethyst. The color is completely natural and very difficult to find elsewhere. This stone is a wonderful, saturated, deep purple color stone with only very slight inclusions and an "Emerald" cut. The stones rarely get this big from Uruguay because the crystals do not grow in a way that yields large stones. Don't miss out on this superb color stone.
