Item Description

A nice set of five beautiful prismatic, gemmy Amethyst crystals from Guerrero. Sharp, well-formed examples which range in color from virtually colorless to purple and some of the crystals even show attractive internal "phantoms"! I don't really see any damage to the crystals with the naked eye. The crystals are set in styrofoam in a plastic cylindrical display box. This set comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here ( http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1528 ).
