Item Description

Stunning, rich grape-purple termination above the milky quartz base on this impressive and stout sharply terminated, very glassy and lustrous, gemmy/translucent amethyst crystal from well-known Jacksons Crossroads. The attached sidecar crystals add character. Backlighting accentuates the rich grape-purple hue of the termination. Contacting on the sides, with very little bruising is noted and is only moderately detracting. Only three small areas of out-of-sight bruising are noted at the base. Classic, richly colored, highly representative amethyst from the noted, world-class amethyst locale. This would date to the early 2000s and the mining era when it was owned by Rodney Moore, which produced such grape jelly colored singles. Ex John Whatley collection.
