Item Description
A very fine large amethyst from this less well-known French locale - Les Isserts. Glassy, glistening translucent, sharply terminated crystals, to 3.5 cm, have pretty variable blush-purple to bone-white color. The crystals rest on striking banded amethyst and quartz, adding even more character. Complete all-around, the interior is essentially pristine, with only one very trivial, hard-to-see edge bruise. Some of the finest recent French amethysts have come from here. 1401 grams or 3.1 pounds mass. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection No. 1352 and probably dates to the 1980s. Mineral specimens, in general, are seldom available from here. Excellent and uncommon amethyst from the locale.
