Item Description

A really eye-catching piece of this classic material. Specimens of Amber (especially those with insect inclusions) have been popular for the better part of 30 years thanks to the Jurassic Park film franchise. This miniature sized specimen is from the Dominican Republic and features many very well-preserved flying insects (possibly mosquitos or gnats) completely frozen inside. This material is always popular on the market, and even though its more of a fossil than a mineral, it's still a cool display piece of this well known material. It's rare to find a piece with MULTIPLE insects inside like this. It's a great specimen, best viewed under the microscope, and I'm sure I didn't capture everything in there.
