Everybody is familiar with Amber containing insect inclusions due to the Jurassic Park films. The Amber from the Dominican Republic is really high quality, among the best in the world. These specimens are not only prized for their clarity, but they also can feature highly desirable and sought after insect "fossils" preserved inside. It's important to note that most of these pieces only features a single insect, so to find MULTIPLE insect inclusions like this is rare, especially in a piece this size. This small cabinet piece has excellent internal clarity and hosts several (not just one) flying insect inclusions of what could be a species of gnat or mosquito beautifully suspended inside.
