Item Description

A beautiful specimen of Amber from the Dominican Republic featuring many very well-preserved flying insects (possibly mosquitos or gnats), along with a few beetles and what we believe to be a confirmed spider completely frozen inside. This material is always popular on the market, and even though its more of a fossil than a mineral, it's still a cool display piece of this well known material. It's not common to find a piece with many insects inside like this. It's a great specimen, best viewed under the microscope, and I'm sure I didn't see everything in there. For comparison, we just saw a handful of comparable pieces in Munich valued at $1000+ each, so this is a great deal for the starting bid.
