Amber with MULTIPLE insect inclusions

A fine quality and desirable wonderful example of Amber with insect inclusions from the Dominican Republic. Amber has been admired by humans for thousands of years, but actual specimens (especially those with insect inclusions) have been glorified and in the public consciousness for the better part of the last 30 years thanks to the Jurassic Park films franchise. This specimen is from the classic Sabana locality and features a handful of very well-preserved insects completely frozen inside (likely some kind of beetle or termite species). It's very important to note that it is incredibly difficult to obtain specimens of this material with MULTIPLE inclusions inside like this. We try our best to find pieces with ONE insect, so multiple is a big deal in our experience. This material is always popular on the market, and even though its more of a fossil than a mineral, it's still a cool display piece of this well known material. A good specimen of this well-known material, best viewed under the microscope, but we did photograph the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
