Item Description

This is a rare specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen features sharp, well-formed, blue-green color Amazonite crystals associated with GEM/gemmy, nearly colorless crystals on Pericline in parallel growth on the prism faces. Keep in mind that this specimen was collected nearly 30 years ago, and was in the collection of Brian Kosnar. I cannot remember seeing another specimen of this material before, although I think that another must exist somewhere.
