Amazonite w/ Schorl (rare matrix plate)

Item Description

Amazonite plates are rare from the Zapot pegmatite and this impressive large plate is doubly rare as one end is richly peppered with tiny lustrous schorl needles. The sharp, lustrous prisms, to 1.8 cm, are light powder-blue with typical for the locale, white sections. The bruising on the left side is certainly only a minimal detraction to this fine large Nevada combination rarity.
