Amazonite w/ Schorl (Bob Reynolds Coll.)

Item Description

Tiny schorl needles are preferentially embedded in the terminations of the sculptural, 360-degree pair of intergrown sharp amazonite crystals from this well-known Nevada pegmatite. The sharp, lustrous, euhedral crystals have beautiful variable rich turquoise-blue color and typical for the locale, mottled and striped faces. The large crystal is also partially doubly terminated and is a partial white cap, adding character. The Zapot pegmatite is best known for some of the finest USA topaz specimens.
